Founding Technical Lead / Architect

The Mission
We are building the operating system for the next generation of sales—an Outbound-First Agentic AI platform that replaces static "drip campaigns" with a dynamic, synthetic workforce. Unlike traditional chatbots, our agents autonomously navigate complex, multi-day negotiation workflows, seamlessly transitioning between voice calls, SMS, and calendar management.
As the Founding Technical Lead, you will not just write code; you will architect the digital nervous system of the company. You are responsible for the Durable Execution architecture that ensures our agents never "forget" a lead, the Real-Time Voice pipeline that eliminates robotic latency, and theMulti-Tenant Security model that protects enterprise data. You will set the technical standards that will define the engineering culture for years to come, leading the charge towards a MVP launch in April 2026.
Core Responsibilities
● Architecting Durable Workflows (Temporal.io): You will design and implement the core state machine using Temporal.io and Python. You must move beyond straightforward request/response paradigms to architect long-running workflows that persist state over days or weeks. You will define the boundaries between deterministic Workflows (logic) and non-deterministic Activities (API calls), ensuring the system is resilient to server failures anddeployment interruptions. You will leverage Temporal's "Replay History" capabilities for debuggingcomplex agent behaviors.
● The "Brain" & "Voice" Integration: You will lead the integration of LLM reasoning layers (OpenAI/Anthropic) with low-latency voiceinfrastructure. Initially leveraging Retell AI, you will optimize the pipeline for sub-800ms responsetimes. You will architect the system to handle asynchronous events (e.g., user interruptions/bargeins) by managing WebSocket streams and ensuring the backend can cancel and regenerate audioinreal-time.
● Multi-Tenant Security Architecture: You will design a "Demo-Safe" and "Enterprise-Ready" security model. This involves implementingRow Level Security (RLS) in PostgreSQL to enforce strict data isolation between the Master Admin, Resellers, and Clients. You will design the authentication flows (likely via Supabase or similar) togenerate tenant-scoped JSON Web Tokens (JWTs), ensuring that no agent can inadvertently accessdata across tenant boundaries.
● Future-Proofing for Telephony: While the MVP relies on API wrappers, you will lay the groundwork for a future migration todirect SIP/WebRTC handling. You will abstract the telephony layer in the codebase, creating interfaces that allow us to swap out providers or implement custom SIP trunking logic as unit economics dictate.
● Engineering Leadership: You will establish the monorepo structure (Nx/Turborepo), define code review standards, andset up CI/CD pipelines suitable for agentic workflows. You will mentor the Applied AI and Frontendengineers, enforcing patterns that prevent "spaghetti code" in agent logic. Technical Skills & Requirements
● Must-Have (The MVP Stack):
7+ years of full-stack engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a Lead or Architect roledesigning SaaS platforms.
Orchestration Mastery:
Deep understanding of distributed systems patterns (Sagas, Event Sourcing).
Hands-on experience with Temporal.io is highly preferred.
Alternatively, expertlevel mastery of Celery/RabbitMQ or AWS Step Functions with a demonstrated understandingof their limitations and a strong desire to migrate to durable execution patterns.
Backend Excellence: Expert proficiency in Python 3.10+ and FastAPI. You must understandasyncio deeply, including event loops, coroutines, and non-blocking I/O, which are critical for handling high-concurrency voice connections.
Database Design: Advanced PostgreSQL skills, specifically with multi-tenant schemas andRowLevel Security (RLS). Experience with pgvector for RAG implementations is a strong plus.
● Strategic "Future-Proofing" Skills:
Voice/VoIP Fundamentals:
Familiarity with SIP, RTP, and WebRTC.
