Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Artist to join our team, contributing to the creation of innovative experiences. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of shaders and post-process techniques, as well as experience working with Unreal Engine and Maya.
This role requires on-site work at our Liverpool studio.
Key Responsibilities
Develop strong Rigging and Skinning skills, creating versatile and high-quality assets
Troubleshoot art pipeline issues and provide effective solutions
Offer optimisation suggestions for all aspects of art within a game
Create and optimise material shaders and blueprints
Collaborate closely with code and art teams
Critique and iterate with colleagues to deliver exceptional results
Familiarity with established art styles and ability to recreate them accurately
Demonstrate expertise in platform technology, asset discipline, and pipeline processes
Requirements
Experience in creating and optimising shaders
At least two years of experience in a similar role
Familiarity with VR technology
Creative problem-solving skills and self-motivation
Strong VFX skills and versatility
Must have experience with Unreal Engine
Proficiency in Maya
Extreme attention to detail
Blueprint experience
Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills
A minimum graduate-level artistic education
A strong portfolio showcasing shader work
