Job Description
Technical Business Analyst (BI & Data)
Minimum 5 years experience working on dashboard and/or software development projects, including performing the following duties:
o Requirements elicitation and documentation, e.g
producing functional specifications containing functional & non-functional requirements
o Assisting with System Integration Testing (SIT), including preparation of test scripts, documentation of outcomes, raising of defects, etc.
o Facilitating User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including documentation of outcomes, raising of defects, obtaining user sign-off, etc.
o Dashboard wireframing and/or prototyping experience would be advantageous
Minimum 3 years experience with agile project delivery, including performing the following duties:
o Managing product and sprint backlogs
o Writing detailed user stories and raising bugs
o Scrum master and/or Product Owner experience would be advantageous
o Experience working with Azure DevOps boards would be advantageous
Good understanding of data modelling concepts (conceptual, logical, physical) and architectures, e.g
Ralph Kimball / Bill Inmon architectures
Power BI development experience would be advantageous, e.g
can build fully functional dashboards, preferably ones that integrate with Azure Analysis Services (AAS) data sets
Experience / familiarity working with data in an Azure environment would be advantageous, e.g
an understanding of:
o Azure Data Lake Storage
o Azure Data Factory
o Azure Databricks
o Azure SQL Data Warehouse
o Azure Analysis Services
Knowledge of ETL and ELT processes would be advantageous
Excellent critical thinking and ability to analyse solution options
Data-driven mindset experience determining the best type of visualisation (e.g
chart) to convey the required message
Good eye for visually appealing designs / dashboards
Experience:5-8 Years
