About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Construction Drafter to join our team and help bring our bespoke architectural concepts into the real world. Our studio specializes in elite private residences, spanning from the French Chateau vernacular to world-class equestrian facilities. Unlike our visualization roles, this position is heavily focused on the technical execution of our designs. You will be responsible for translating intricate architectural designs into comprehensive, flawless working drawing sets.
What You Will Do
Transform Jesse's conceptual designs and approved digital models into highly detailed, accurate construction documents using Revit.
Produce complete working drawing sets, including precise floor plans, elevations, building sections, and intricate structural detailing.
Focus heavily on the technical execution of complex architectural elements, such as subtle roof curves, precise single-storey wing proportions, and noble cladding materials like rustic stone and herringbone brick.
Utilize Enscape in tandem with Revit to quickly visualize technical details and ensure structural solutions do not compromise the original artistic intent.
Collaborate closely with the principal designer, engineers, and local trades to ensure all construction detailing is feasible, structurally sound, and meticulously planned.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of professional experience drafting construction documents specifically in Revit.
Technical Background: You must be a certified Architectural Technician, Technologist, or possess a similar educational background with a deep understanding of architectural drafting, building science, and structural proportions.
Software Proficiency: Advanced, daily proficiency in Revit is strictly required to manage complex BIM models. You must also be proficient in Enscape to assist with technical visualizations and real-time design iterations.
Construction Knowledge: A comprehensive understanding of wood-frame construction, masonry detailing, and traditional building techniques.
Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to creating construction sets that leave absolutely no room for error on the building site.
Portfolio: A portfolio demonstrating comprehensive working drawing sets and detailed Revit models of residential or commercial projects is required.
Bonus Points
Direct experience drafting for high-end luxury residential builds or classical architecture.
Familiarity with local building codes and municipal permit processes.
Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
