Responsibilities:
• API Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for RESTful APIs, including endpoints, request/response parameters, authentication methods, error codes, and code examples in various programming languages.
• Database Documentation: Develop clear and accurate database diagrams (ERDs), schema definitions, and descriptions of tables, columns, relationships, and data types.
• Product Feature Documentation: Document new and existing product features, functionalities, and workflows for internal teams and external users.
• Internal Documentation: Create and maintain internal technical documentation, such as design specifications, architecture diagrams, and troubleshooting guides.
• Content Planning and Strategy: Collaborate with product and engineering teams to plan documentation deliverables and understand upcoming features.
• Information Gathering: Proactively gather information from subject matter experts through interviews, meetings, and by reviewing technical specifications and code.
• Writing and Editing: Write clear, concise, and technically accurate documentation, ensuring consistency in style, terminology, and formatting.
This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
Key qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technical Writing, English, or a related field, and proven experience as a Technical Writer in a software development or technology-focused environment.
