Responsibilities
• Design and develop user-facing deliverables in the form of product documentation,
• Write the in app content, user facing messages, and help within the product.
• Develop clear, accurate and concise information, following all guidelines consistently and effectively. Guidelines include standard rules of grammar and usage as well as corporate guidelines in the form of content models, style guidelines, and editorial guidelines.
• Develop information that explains complex technical subjects in ways that are easy to understand. Develop effective examples and illustrations to clarify complex topics.
• Design deliverables to maximize usability by their target audience.
• Work effectively with product development teams (including software developers and testers, product managers, customer success mangers, and onboarding consultants) to develop knowledge about product functionality and target audience, communicate status to all stakeholders, and produce deliverables that meet targets for quality and timeliness.
• Consult with user experienced designers and software developers to provide clear, globalized user interface text and software messages.
• Is responsible for the creation and maintenance of documentation such as user guides, reference manuals. May include maintenance of documentation library and oversight of special projects.
Skills Required:
Kylas is looking for a Sr. Technical Writer with 3-4 years of hands-on experience documenting software. The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in a communications field or a technical or quantitative field.
Strong understanding of technical writing concepts
