Technical Writer
Compliance (Bengaluru, Karnataka, India)

There are two vacancies for the role of Technical Writer to help manage the documentation for the global Compliance team.

Job Responsibilities:
• Help implement process improvements by migrating documents into a new document management system, which will require integration with other systems.
As part of this migration process:
• Identify dependencies and link documents to preserve their association with each other.
• Identify and address content gaps as well as duplicates.
• Implement version control.
• Report regularly on progress, which in turn will be communicated to the wider business (not just the Compliance group).
• Produce report templates and checklists by using existing documentation and parsing into the new system.
• Seek and implement feedback from the engineers who use the documents and systems.
Requirements for this role:
• Minimum 4 years of Technical Writing or equivalent experience in Electronics industry, regulatory or engineering environment.
• A formal tertiary qualification.
• Experience working with Sharepoint and document management systems.
• Familiar with the concepts used in Systems Engineering.
• Clear, succinct communication - both written and verbal.
• Excellent computer skills (including Microsoft Word, Excel etc.) and the ability to understand and document English at a high level.
• Advantageous:
• Experience in implementing process improvements.
• Knowledge of database design and query languages.
The successful candidate will:
• Have exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Be organised, methodical and systematic in executing tasks.
• Be able to give a good return brief to ensure scope clarity.
• Be comfortable to function in an environment with procedures and work instructions in place to support a quality management system.
• Be solution-oriented and a team player who can raise and articulate issues.
• Have excellent time management skills to meet tight deadlines.
• Be flexible to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced working environment to ensure we maintain the "What's best for project?" mindset
