Leading Construction and Design engineering company requires Technical content writer-(Mechanical engineer) - Navi Mumbai
We are looking out for Technical Content writer ( Mechanical Engineer ) for Navi Mumbai office of the client.
• JOB DESCRIPTION- ROLE
Reporting to:Manager
Education -:Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical)
Accountabilities
• Ensuring on-time delivery to customer within agreed budget and quality
Main responsibilities:-
• Ensure that documentation meets the criteria set by the customer
• Ensure efficient work with given tools
• Ensure fulfillment of directives, instructions, time schedule and best practices of given tasks
• Design and establish style guidelines and standards for texts and illustrations to meet business needs
• Time management and prioritization of own tasks
• Keep project schedules and assigned tasks as well as reporting possible deviations in advance
• Cooperate and communicate with different representatives of the contact network
• Collect source information for customer documentation, e.g. by organizing documentation design meetings
• Assess the adequacy of the source information and deciding which material belongs to each type of document.
Write new information and editing of existing information
• Illustrate customer documentation either by him-/herself or in cooperation with a Visual Designer
• Organize reviews with designers
• Proofread, check language and conduct peer reviewing
• Publish in different medias/formats, compiling complete information products
Development responsibilities:-
• Take part in developing/improving documentation tools, processes and way of working.
• Take part in developing customer relationship and discover new business opportunities (especially when located in customer premises)
Software Skills Required
Solid knowledge of computers, MS Office and different text editors.
Basic knowledge of illustration tools
In Addition To Own Area Of Expertise
• DITA standard
• Modular documentation
• Single sourcing
• PLM/PDM
• Standards
Knowledge of CMS systems, documentation environments and related standards
• General understanding of publishing pipelines and DM systems
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken (or the language in which the work is to be done)
• Thoroughness and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Ability to manage multiple and various tasks simultaneously and independently.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
Personal Attitude Needed
