Technical Content Writer
What you’ll do
Experience working with developers and comfortable with asking questions and highlighting inconsistencies in the product.
Must know that they need to ask the what, why, how and when questions.
Experience in writing online help for a software product.
Able to work with multiple projects at one time.
Experience working in an agile environment.
Experience in owning and driving the online help and try and determine what needs to be written.
UI writing experience.
Able to be flexible and work with ambiguity and to determine priorities.
Very proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Word).
Create clear concise instructions in help.
Able to take technical language and make it into persona appropriate language
Be able to write for all persona types - Technical Engineers, Executives, End Users
Have used style guides.
Ensure consistency across help ( also need to be able to check product consistency across dashboards).
Content strategy (technical not marketing) experience.
Plan, develop, organize, write and edit operational procedures and manuals
Research, develop and document technical design specifications
Produce electronic documentation in addition to hard copy manuals
Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation
Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style of content
