Job Description

Utilize deep expertise and understanding of fit, grading, technical construction and pattern with Extensive Knowledge and Ability to spec both knit and woven garments

Verbal and written communication skills are crucial with the ability to communicate easily with overseas vendors
Must be proficient in Excel & Adobe Illustrator
Excellent organizational and communication skills with attention to detail
Associates degree in Patternmaking or Fashion related degree
Preferred 3-5 years equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
Communicate pattern corrections accurately and understand pattern making a must
Enter fit comments into tech pack with product pictures, pattern corrections and or sketches with corrections/dates ensuring timely data entry according to brand calendars and deadlines
Confirm correct grade rules in the tech pack to produce compliant products for fit in each size
Receive and prepare all proto/fit garments for review with Design/Merchandising for details and fit approval
Schedule and lead in house fit sessions with cross functional team members and global partners
Foster open and collaborative communication with Design and Merchandising team
Measure garments accurately to identify any fit issues and execute fit comments efficiently to remain on schedule with production
Approve samples for production after a thorough evaluation of fit, measurement, hanger appeal, and functionality
Provide grading guidelines to vendors after fit approval to ensure quality consistency and collaborate with internal and external partners
Lead fit sessions using live model/body form to assess fit, proportion, and overall styling of garments
Provide recommendations, note callouts, and log critiques to address all issues efficiently during Fit sessions, Add/update Be-product Accordingly
Ensure size and fit consistency within and across product categories
Partner with Production and overseas offices to support quality and on-time delivery of products
Manage fit and construction approval process with cross functional partners to meet all deadlines and raise issues to appropriate level for resolution in a timely manner
Communicate and provide clear direction to overseas offices and factories on submits and approval status
Special projects as assigned
