HSTalks has an open position for a Technical Editor (TE) to join our editorial production team as a full-time contractor. We are looking for highly motivated, talented individuals with a thirst for knowledge and a desire to make a significant contribution to the rapidly developing field of online education in science.

Henry Stewart Talks (HSTalks) is a leading provider of online, seminar-style presentations of specially prepared, animated, audio-visual lectures by leading world experts in the fields of biomedical and life sciences, and business and management which are provided by subscription to leading research institutions, universities, medical schools, and global pharmaceutical companies in over 60 countries around the world.

Position Description

· Designing and creating engaging seminar-style animated audio-visual presentations

(using PowerPoint).

· Working with source material provided by producers and experts in their fields.

· Replacing copyrighted images or recreating images.

· Spotting mistakes and finding solutions in-house.

· Basic audio editing (training will be provided).

· Coordinate and work with other teams involved in the production process.

· Other duties as needed.

Basic Qualifications and Requisites

· A biomedical/life science-related doctoral degree (PhD).

· Excellent English: high standards in writing and verbal communication are essential at a professional level.

· Excellent reading comprehension and ability to concisely convey main points.

· Well-developed aesthetic feel for the use of colour and design in communication.

· Experience with MS Office, PowerPoint in particular.

· Ability to convert written points into graphic form.

· Strong typographical and composition skills.

· High level of self-motivation in the pursuit of excellence.

· Meticulous attention to detail.

Additional Qualifications and Skills

· Official English accreditation (minimum of 6.5 in IELTS or minimum of 85 in TOEFL) - Advantage.

· Vast and proven experience in medical communications or education - Advantage.

· Portfolio or work samples (PowerPoint presentations preferable) - Advantage.

· Knowledge of graphic software (i.e., Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator) - Advantage.

· Knowledge of audio editing software (Audacity) - Advantage.

· Analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues.

· Co-operative and team-work attitude.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹500,000.00 per year
