Job Description
Vertafore is looking for a Tech Lead - CloudOps to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad, India. At Vertafore, we work with a diverse set of systems and technologies. As a Cloud Engineer, you’ll get a chance to help advance our Cloud practice within the company. This will include automating infrastructure deployments, collaborating with development teams to implement state-of-the-art Build and Deployment Pipelines, and helping to define the future of Cloud within Vertafore.
Our Cloud team is responsible for supporting multiple products and development teams in automating infrastructure, build pipelines, deployment, autoscaling and production support. Some days we’re working closely with development teams to learn their pain points and come up with creative, automated solutions. On other days we’re working on making sure our build and release pipelines are working well and releasing quality code as quickly as possible. Occasionally we are working on production issues that directly impact our customers. Skills & Requirements
Must have
5-7 years of an experience as a cloud engineer.
Working knowledge of one or more public cloud infrastructure providers like AWS
Experience architecting and maintaining secure networks using Virtual Public Clouds (VPC), Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Application Gateways, Web Application Firewall (WAF) , Direct connect, Transit gateway and other services like EC2, ELB, EBS, RDS, S3, IAM, autoscaling, Route 53 etc.
Experience installing and configuring different application in IIS
Strong experience in writing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), using Terraform & CloudFormation
Ability to design and architect cloud migration strategies using traditional and aws built-in approaches
Must have hands-on expieirice in cloud migration for atleast 5 large/mid-level customer implementations
Experience writing shell scripts / PowerShell / YAML in bash
Implementing cost-control strategies.
Good to have
Understanding of build and deployment tools like Jenkins, MSBuild,
Experience with deployments using tools like Ansible, Chef, Kubernetes, Docker etc.
Experience with monitoring tools Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK
Exposure in using version controller tool like TFS, GIT
Coordination experience with various teams like Dev, QA, UAT and Production Operations.
Highly motivated team player and diligent worker with experience and flexibility to support development, QA and professional service organization teams.
Strong analytical and trouble-shooting skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Self-starting, energetic team player with great technical knowledge, skill, and technical interest
