Job description
ARA Health Specialists (ARAHS) is looking for multiple subspecialties as we experience continued growth and expansion of services in the Asheville/Hendersonville area. We are a stable group that enjoys exceedingly low turnover. We provide excellent patient care while also providing our radiologists with an excellent quality of life.
Position Details
2-year partnership track; other employment arrangements can be considered.
Approximately 7-9 weekends per year during work-up. Night positions are remote or on-site; all other openings are on-site/hybrid.

Our group is a stable, independent, physician-owned multi-specialty practice (55 radiologists, 8 radiology APPs, and 5 vascular surgeons) with a highly engaged leadership team and support staff. Patient Load and Schedule

Many partners opt for 12 weeks of vacation and frequent 4-day work weeks. Most rotations are 9 hours, with many daytime rotations running from 8 am to 5 pm. Evening shifts are shared among the group and come with additional compensation. Overnight work is handled by our dedicated internal nights section or an external nighthawk service, ensuring our internal overnight radiologists have a structured schedule with multiple two-week blocks of time off.

The Lead Full-stack Developer will drive the design, development, and modernization of internal web solutions for US Customer Solutions. This role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership, guiding architecture decisions, mentoring junior engineers, and integrating AI-powered features. The engineer will partner with stakeholders to ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, and aligned with business needs.
Responsibilities
• Design and lead architecture of modern, scalable full-stack applications
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and code reviews for engineering team members
• Lead integration of AI-powered features into existing and new applications
• Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to align solutions with objectives
• Lead design, development, testing, and deployment of greenfield full-stack applications
• Modernize and migrate legacy applications to Flask/Next.js
• Partner with data engineering to modernize ETL pipelines
• Act as escalation point for production issues and drive resolution
• Improve performance, reliability, and maintainability of core applications
Qualifications
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field
• 4+ years of full-stack software engineering experience
• Proven experience leading design and development of production-grade web applications (Flask, React, Next.js)
• Strong SQL design and performance tuning skills
• Experience with Azure-based services, including AI-powered features
