Network Infrastructure Specialist
About the Role:
• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12-15 years of experience in network administration support or similar technical experience.
• They will be responsible for managing a team of network security engineers, including L1, L2, and L3 levels.
• Networking certifications such as CCNA and CCNP are mandatory. However, experience may be considered over certifications where applicable.
• Expertise in networking and security architectural and engineering support across local, regional, and global domains is required.
• Demonstrated knowledge in areas such as Fortigate and Checkpoint Firewalls, as well as network security best practices, is essential.
• Deep technical knowledge with the ability to assess and troubleshoot complex environments and issues is crucial.
• Expert knowledge of network infrastructure, networking protocols, standards, and associated configurations, VPN access, Firewalls, and other security appliances and solutions is necessary.
• Problem management skills, including the ability to identify and assess risks and determine corrective actions, are vital.
• The role involves developing and maintaining incident resolution plans, particularly for switching, routing, and firewall-related incidents.
• Collaboration with multiple domains to resolve business outages and drive RCA is essential.
• Frequent interaction with leadership, internal users, vendors, and customers is required, along with effective interpersonal communication and problem management techniques to solve complex issues.
• Project management skills, including tracking and reporting on operational projects such as upgrades and migrations, are necessary.
• Mandatory expertise includes Cisco Nexus and ACI.
• Strong acumen in building technical teams through training and awareness sessions is beneficial.
