Help shape sustainable water management in our community! We’re seeking a Technical Officer – Irrigation and Groundwater to manage groundwater monitoring, ensure compliance, and support the planning and delivery of irrigation infrastructure projects. To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria as part of your online application:
Qualifications, Certifications and Licences
Qualification in Irrigation, Hydrogeology or relevant Science discipline
Current ‘C’ class driver’s licence
Strong knowledge of groundwater legislation, abstraction policies, and irrigation asset management
Experience in hydrological surface and groundwater monitoring, sampling methodologies, and compliance reporting
Ability to interpret and analyse groundwater results, prepare complex reports, and conduct field audits
Skilled in contract administration, project delivery, and irrigation asset renewal works
Excellent communication, consultation, and problem‑solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and sound organisational/time management abilities
Commitment to safe work practices and WHS compliance
We are offering a gross salary of $91,088 per annum, and:
12% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
