Technical Product Manager - SAP
Description -
Job Overview:
• We are seeking a highly skilled SAP S/4 HANA Techno-Functional Consultant who will be the Technical Product Manager who will work closely with S/4 ERP Functional teams, SAP Product development and Platform engineering team to design software solutions as a Product. The candidate will be identifying, evaluating, and implementing cutting-edge S/4HANA solutions to accelerate business transformation.
• By providing 'S/4 solutions as a Product or a service', the candidate aims to enable functional teams to seamlessly adopt innovative SAP S/4HANA solutions through continuous exploration, proof of concepts (POCs), and scalable reusable service.
Roles and Responsibilities
• As the SAP Technical Product Manager, you will guide the strategic direction, development, and lifecycle management of SAP products within our organization. You will leverage your deep knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA solutions to drive innovation and maximize value from our SAP investments, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet our innovation and transformation objectives.
• Act as a technical subject matter expert and techno-functional consultant, provide product expertise, guidance, and instruction on SAP S/4 Solutions and BTP Services
• Work closely with functional teams to understand business needs and translate functional/technical requirements to build the product or service.
• Plan and manage HP's SAP product roadmap based on feedback, business goals, and technical feasibility
• Develop a sharp vision and strategy for SAP solutions, aligning with business objectives and market needs.
• Maintain a detailed product roadmap, highlighting future initiatives and enhancements.
• Work closely with internal teams to gather requirements, prioritize features based on business value, and translate these into detailed product specifications.
• Plan and execute solution and services launches in collaboration with consulting and training
• Create materials for product demos, whitepapers, and presentations to communicate the value proposition.
• Translates user requirements into executable and workable feature items with the software engineering team.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to manage product backlogs, define release plans, and ensure timely delivery of enhancements.
• Conduct UAT and collect feedback to ensure products meet functionality and usability standards.
• Monitor KPIs and analyze feedback to continuously refine product offerings.
• Foster relationships with SAP partners and vendors to enhance product integrations and offerings.
• Responsible to keep abreast of industry trends and innovations and future SAP Roadmap items for respective process areas and explore new innovations (E.g.: AI/ML, Joule )
• Develop Proof of concepts/Pilot and document solution blueprints, technical specifications, and implementation plans for SAP S/4 solutions and BTP services
• Analyze evolving SAP innovations and HP Business transformation needs to identify opportunities for new features or products to foster innovation, accelerate Transformation and enable early adaptation on emerging technologies
• Provide guidance on the SAP BTP platform business values, architecture, and catalogue of services.
• Identify and document use cases to guide product development on S/4 and/or BTP.
• Propose clean-core-aligned solutions (e.g., BTP extensions over core modifications) to minimize S/4HANA customizations.
• Explore SAP New release features and work with Functional team to evaluate feasibility, functional gap assessment, create POCs. (e.g.: new Fiori/UI5 applications, Embedded AI and Analytics, SAP Joule etc.)
• Work with the Platform engineering team to prioritize features and oversee the development.
• Act as a champion for Innovation and Intelligent technologies demonstrating its value to all stakeholders
Required Qualifications & Skills:
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or any other related discipline.
• The ideal candidate must have 10+ years of experience in SAP ERP and S/4 HANA implementation
• Should have expert-level understanding of SAP Supply chain processes, Logistics, Procurement, Inventory management, Order management and Invoicing with deep expertise in one or more modules (MM, SD, PP, WM, EWM).
• Should have sound technical knowledge in S/4 HANA ABAP Development tools, ODATA services, Fiori apps, Integration methods ( IDOC, APIs, Events, etc.) and technologies ( SAP PO, MuleSoft, BODS, SAP Integration suite etc.) to convert functional requirements to techncial design specifications
• Proficiency in designing and developing scalable solutions using S/4 HANA Products, BTP services and APIs
• Experience designing a complete customer specific solutions as a product using SAP S/4 Solution suite of products and services.
• Knowledge of BTP Services especially in areas of Application Development, Data Analytics, Integration, and Intelligent Technologies (AI/ML)
• Knowledge and Experience in working on some of the key SAP BTP Services like Build Automation, Build Work zone, ABAP Cloud development, CAP/RAP frameworks, and extensibility approaches (Side-by-Side & On-Stack ABAP extensions), Identity & Access Management, security principles and integration with SAP and non-SAP environments.
• Familiarity with SAP Suite of products like SAP Archiving/ILM, SAP Solution Manager, SAP GRC, SAP Ariba, SAP IBP
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external business partners
• Ability to work with limited supervision
Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools like JIRA, ITSM.
• An initiative-taking, problem-solving approach with strong organizational skills.
• SAP certifications, SAP course completion on S/4 HANA, BTP.
• Experience, preferably in product management, digital or software product development, or a related field
