TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGEMENT CHAMPION
Roles: Technical Project Manager (TPM) / Technical Delivery Manager (TDM)
Area of Work: Data Science
Experience: 10+ years
Location: Jaipur/Noida/Gurugram/Pune/Mumbai/Hyderabad
Job Responsibilities:
• Project Management
o To take end-to-end ownership of multiple projects/project tracks.
o To create, review and maintain project management documentation and other related documentation including Project Status Tracker, Scope of Work document, Change Request Management (CR) document, Release Management Plan, Risk Mitigation Plan, Production Cutover Plan, Production Support Plan, etc...
o To lead i.e., participate and contribute to all the phases of a data science project, right from Requirements Gathering to Production Support.
o To lead internal team meetings on requirements gathering, solution approach and architecture, effort estimation, timelines preparation, manpower planning, and resource (software/hardware/licensing planning.
o To lead external team meetings with partner teams and customer teams.
o To manage RIDA (Risks, Impediments, Dependencies, Assumptions) for projects by developing effective mitigation plans.
• Team Management
o To act as a Scrum Master, if required, and conduct SCRUM ceremonies like Sprint Planning, Daily Standup, and Sprint Retrospective.
o To conduct Scrum of Scrum meetings, in case of managing multiple projects/project tracks.
o To clearly define the roles and responsibilities of each team member.
o To train and mentor the team on their job responsibilities and SCRUM principles.
o To make the team accountable for their tasks and help them achieve them.
o To identify the requirements and develop a plan for Skill Development for all team members.
o To approve timesheets and leave plans of team members.
• Technical Leadership
o To lead i.e., participate and contribute to all functional and technical discussions along with the project team, partner team, and customer team.
o To ensure technical issues/challenges faced by the team are resolved in time.
o To mentor the team on requirement analysis and documentation.
o To mentor the team on solution design with a focus on technical approach, and solution architecture.
o To mentor the team on data science project best practices and system-level critical thinking.
• Communication
o To be the Single Point of Contact for the customer.
o To periodically communicate project status to all the stakeholders (internal/external).
o To proactively communicate/escalate in case any blocker impacts the project delivery timelines.
o To build successful working relationships with partner team and customer team.
• Process Management and Improvement
o To create and document processes across all disciplines of software engineering and release management.
o To ensure the defined processes are judiciously followed by the team members.
o To identify gaps and continuously improve processes within the team.
o To encourage team members to contribute toward process improvement.
o To develop a culture of quality and efficiency within the team.
Must have:
• Minimum 08 years of experience (hands-on as well as leadership) in data science projects across multiple job functions like Requirements Analysis, Solution Design and Documentation, Development and Testing, MLOps, Production Support, Presales, Release Management, and Project Management.
• Demonstrable knowledge of Data Science and related concepts including but not limited to Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA), Supervised Machine Learning Algorithms, Unsupervised Machine Learning Algorithms, Reinforcement Learning Algorithms, Deep Learning Algorithms, Natural Language Processing (NLP) Algorithms, Feature Engineering, Hyperparameter Optimization, Hypothesis Testing, Time Series Analysis, CRISP-DM, Confusion Matrix, etc…
• Demonstrable knowledge of Programming languages/platforms/tools/libraries including but not limited to Python, Scala, R, SQL, PySpark, Jupyter Notebook, Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib, scikit-learn, Seaborn, Tensorflow, Keras, etc...
• Experience developing or managing cloud solutions using Azure or other cloud providers.
• Demonstrable knowledge of Project Management Tools and Practices.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong data-driven approach to problem-solving.
• Strong systems-level critical thinking skills.
• Strong collaboration and influencing skills.
• Willingness to travel.
Good to have:
• Knowledge of Generative AI concepts including but not limited to Large Language Models (LLM), Transformers, Embeddings, etc…
• Knowledge of NoSQL DBs and Caching Technologies like Azure CosmosDB, Azure Redis Cache, etc…
• Knowledge of Azure Cognitive Services and Azure OpenAI Services
• Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Databricks, Azure PowerBI, Tableau, and Azure Cloud INS (Infrastructure, Network, and Security) services.
• Knowledge of Azure Container Services and Azure Kubernetes Services
• Domain Knowledge across industry verticals like BFSI, FMCG, Pharmaceutical, Logistics and Healthcare
• PMP Certification / PgMP Certification / SAFe Certifications.
