As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain software applications that are usable, robust, and scalable. You will implement best practice design and user experience to ensure the software meets both functional and non-functional requirements of the client.
Participate as part of a scrum team in sprint-related activities (analysis, design, build/development) in the entire software development lifecycle from concept state through to release.
Demonstrate initiative in contributing to problem-solving, design solutions, and team goals.
Write operational and software documentation necessary for the application from a technical standpoint.
Responsibilities
Provide technical solutions in terms of code, design, and industry best practices to ensure a quality product. Document technical designs to enable stakeholders and governance teams to review and endorse solutions being implemented. Coordinate across multiple scrum teams to ensure functionality and integration points are working as per business expectation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
A bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other related discipline. Minimum 3+ years development experience. Experience with designing & implementation of modules and app connectivity methods like APIs, SOAP requests with WSDLs, database links.
Appian experience preferred, creating Appian plug-ins, smart services, and knowledge of Appian product architecture is a strong plus. Working knowledge of Agile tools preferably JIRA and Confluence. Excellent interpersonal communication skills and experience communicating with peers, technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements & describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy.
