Job Description
The position is responsible for working on cessation related project activities in close collaboration with relevant internal and external teams. This role provides technical support in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) to develop the project and ensure its execution.

Duties and Responsibilities
Project Planning and supervision
• Along with the support of internal teams assist the MoHFW to prioritize advancement of cessation related activities at national level.
• Collaborate with Centre for Health Informatics (CHI) on integration of multiple platforms for cessation.
• Meet regularly with relevant multi-stakeholders (Health/ public health/ research) for execution of cessation related activities in assigned geographies.
• Monitor project progress, modify work plans as needed and ensure timely completion of objectives.
• Review the project objectives and activities and submit monthly reports.
• Conduct supervisory field visits to review project activities.
Training support
• Contribute to development of a project training plan.
• Manage a training database and keep the training materials updated.
Technical Support
• With support from internal teams, assist the MoHFW in developing a detailed plan to prioritize cessation. This includes integrating cessation efforts into healthcare programs at various levels, emphasizing community-based cessation and integrating tobacco cessation into tuberculosis management.
• Provide support to stakeholders on other related topics
Relationship Building
• Develop and maintain relationships with partners to strengthen cessation services.
• Participate in relevant meetings, seminars and workshops.
Miscellaneous
• Assist with research, data analysis, drafting results, preparing manuscripts, and publishing on policy matters for advancing tobacco control.
• Help develop protocols and oversee data collection by relevant agencies.
Qualifi cation and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in medicine or Dentistry
• Post Graduation in Medicine or Dentistry or Public Health (required)
Experience Required
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in public health projects related to cessation
• Broad understanding of national and state-level policy landscape and communication campaigns at grassroot level.
Skills, Knowledge and abilities
• Understanding of government structures and policymaking in relevant regions.
• Strong communication skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external partners.
• Fluency in both oral and written English and Hindi.
• Familiarity with MS Office and other relevant software.
• Project management expertise, with the ability to exercise independent judgment and maintain appropriate deadlines
• Excellent organizational skills
