Job Description
Objective
• Responsible to maintain, manage and upgrade production site (SQL and IIS). Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role.
• You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems in no time.
• You should be able to communicate with multiple technical teams and other users.
• Technical Documentation is a part of your role. Your goal will be to ensure that our infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently all the time.
Key Responsibilities
• Knowledge of Configuration of website in IIS.
• Manage worker processes in IIS
• Configuration of Application pool and associated tasks.
• Knowledge of app to db connectivity.
• Knowledge of SQL 2017 and more.
• Manage the security and disaster recovery aspects of a database.
• Manage and create HA plans (Always On and other HA)
• Maintain data standards, including adherence to the PCI DSS.
• Develop, manage and test back-up and recovery plans
• Consider both back-end organization of data and front-end accessibility for end-users
• Monitor performance and manage parameters to provide fast responses to front-end users
• Carry out capacity planning
• Establish the needs of users and monitor user access and security.
• Communicate regularly with-in team members and update the changes on regular basis.
• Work closely with-in the team members and database/application developers
• Managing and Maintaining proper technical documentation.
• Familiarity with various operating systems and DB supporting the platforms
• Working in shifts as per requirements
Qualification
• Any Graduate or BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Professional certification is preferred
Previous Experience
• Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role.
• Hands on Experience with Microsoft databases 2017 onwards.
• Knowledge of TSQL and data backup/recovery.
• Hands on Experience with IIS 10.0
• Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
