About Alstom in India
Alstom has established a strong presence in India. Currently, the company is executing metro projects in several Indian cities including Chennai, Kochi and Lucknow where it is supplying Rolling Stock manufactured out its state of the art facility at SriCity in Andhra Pradesh. In the Mainline space, Alstom is executing Signaling & Power Supply Systems for the 343 Km. Section on World Bank funded Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor. Phase 1 in the construction of the new electric locomotive factory for manufacturing and supply of 800 units of 12000HP locomotives is also complete at Madhepura, Bihar while the depot at Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh is ready to commence operation. OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Maintennance Technical Support, supports Service Tenders & Projects in the Engineering Area.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supply engineering resource/skills to support tenders and projects.
Collaborates with Services Engineering and Platforms, to improve the Services portfolio of products and services.
Participates actively in the Services Engineering network.
Assures the technical support to the projects.
Optimises the scope and related tasks of the Maintenance plan.
Supports cost reduction actions, with sourcing and industrial.
Detects, defines and implements the modifications of the maintained products to improve the reliability and serviceability, in order to reduce project costs and improve the performances of the systems.
Proposes innovative solutions and develops and implements R&D programs and new technologies in the maintenance projects.
Analyses the technical performances of the systems and the efficiency of the maintenance plan and processes, promoting action plans to improve them.
Propose actions to optimise Maintenance plans and LCC.
Searches for improvement actions in maintenance operations, performing engineering interface activities with Operations Engineers (depot support).
Promotes the use of latest maintenance technics and R&D developments (CBM, RCM, Lean).
Participates in the REX process.
Analyses failure criticality studies and uses RCM (Reliability Centred Maintenance) and other available methodologies to define and optimise the maintenance requirements, tasks and intervals.
Analyses and integrates data coming from Operations (Return on Experience).
Manages interface with other Product Lines’ Metiers.
Improve Services Engineering tools & processes
Qualifications & Skills:
Shall have a minimum experience of 8 plus years in the signalling industry.
Shall have a minimum of three years experience in signalling operation & maintenance
Shall be a good communicator.
EDUCATION:
University degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:
Shall be a team player and good communicator
Technical Competency & Experience:
Shall have prior experience in preparing technical documentation required for the project
Shall have the prior experience in preparing / reviewing operation and maintenance manuals
Shall have prior experience in conducting internal and external training.
Shall have good understanding of the Metro and Mainline signaling solutions.
Shall have good understanding of the different sub systems like Interlocking, ATC and ATS
Shall have prior experience as an O&M Engineer in one of the sub system(CBI/ATC/ATS)
Shall have good understanding of the RAM
Shall have good command over English language.
Language Skills:
Must be well versed in English
IT Skills:
Must be well versed in MS office
