IntroductionAs a Service Delivery Specialist, you are the face of IBM for our customers. Your clients' success depends on your ability to understand their needs and respond to requests for new services. This role is an integral part of both account planning and delivering support strategies, working to proactively monitor problems, change processes, and handle issues to ensure our customers success.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesAs a Technical Support Specialist, you will be placed at customer location and will have to demonstrate expertise in Wintel domain area. You will also be involved in deploying, configuring, troubleshooting and operational maintenance of Server & Storage Products. You are expected to work on Cisco, Dell, HP, Lenovo Servers, Virtualization and Hitachi Storage products or solutions based on any vendor hardware /vendor operating system with little or minimum support from superiors. E.g. include: Skills on Server/ Storage / Load balancer/ Windows & Linux Operating System. Typical examples of the other deliverables would be of deploying, managing and implementing Wintel solutions to address client business requirements.Responsibilities: Hardware health checkup/Logs CollectionStart/Stop, reboot OS as and when required.Storage Attachment and multi-pathing Configuration. Configuration of teaming, bonding, firewall and other network administration.Develop and maintain documentation about current environment setup, standard operating procedures, and best practices.Troubleshooting and problem data collection.Raise and track Service Requests with OEMRequired Technical and Professional Expertise3 to 5 yearsâ experience IT infrastructure projects, planning, implementation and administration across multiple domains, as well as experience in end- to-end IT Operations.Experience in HP, Dell, Lenovo, Huawei, Cisco UCS Servers. Storage & Tape Library skill is preferred.Experience in multiple flavour of Unix operating system is required.Experience in working with Windows operating system is required.Experience in installing, supporting and maintaining server and storage hardware.A general understanding of Networking technologies.Demonstrate Problem Solving & analytical skills in IT Infrastructure domain both IT hardware & software / applications Experience in projects, planning, implementation, and administration in multiple domainsBasic Cloud knowledge is required.Preferred Technical and Professional ExpertiseCandidates on the L2 Category Should be having a minimum of 4 years relevant experience.Candidates should have good verbal and written communication skillsCandidates should be willing to work on 24x7 and on-call support during critical issues.Candidates should have eagerness to learn new technologies and skills
