Responsibilities:
• Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
• Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements
• Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help, and developer guides
• Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications
• Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities
• Create and maintain the information architecture
• Record how-to videos and provide voice-over
Requirements:
• Two or more years of experience as an effective technical content creator.
• Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter
• Experience in writing documentation and procedure manuals for various audiences
• Superb written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
• Preferred: Experience in working with engineers to improve user experience (ex: design, UI), refine content, and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content
• Demonstrable video recording ability and storytelling skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred skills and qualifications:
• Two or more years of experience as an effective technical content creator.
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in journalism, communications, or relevant technical field
• Firm understanding of SDLC (systems development lifecycle)
• Previous experience in software development
• Professional certification (ex: Society for Technical Communication)
• Experience in using Office Word/ Google Docs/WordPress or similar tools to create documentation
