The technical writer will be responsible for editing and reviewing user documentation written by software engineers in Markdown format and stored in a Git repository. In addition, s/he will also be responsible for creating several HTML websites from the Markdown files on a monthly or bi-weekly basis using the MkDocs platform.
SkillsRequired:
• Good written communication skills in English.
• S/he must have completed a technical writing program.
• S/he must have at least one year experience as a writer or editor.
• Strong technical aptitude.
• S/he must be able to independently solve common problems (such as code that doesn't compile).
Good to Have:
• Markup language such as Markdown, AsciiDoc or HTML
• Repositories such as Git
• Shell scripts
• Programming language such as C++ or Python
