As a Technical writer you will create easy-to-understand user content and product documentation to increase product clarity and usability. Excellent attention to detail, ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment is a must to be successful.
Your responsibilities:
• Communicate all technical aspects of company products to both highly technical and non-technical users;
• Apply concepts for technical writing based on engineering drawings, technical information from engineering documentation, consultations with engineers and subject matter experts;
• Create and develop a broad range of technical documentation - Lifting, Transport, Storage and Work/Assembly instructions;
• Establish and maintain User Manuals, Maintenance Manuals, Checklists, Inspection documentation, Design Risk Assessments, Purchase specifications and Storyboards, Installation parts catalogue in both pdf and electronic output formats for Nacelle, Hub, Power Conversion Module (PCM) etc;
• Collect and organizes data, charts, diagrams, illustrations and drawings;
• Coordinates layout and design of documents;
• Understand basic concepts (to include basic grammar concepts), responsible for writing technical copy for various types of documents;
• Establish procedures, conforming to existing company styles and policies.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Marine Engineering
• Minimum 4-7 Years of experience in Technical Documentation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Photoshop;
• A strong sense of how to effectively communicate with different groups of stakeholders.
Need to have:
• Experience in Arbortext Editor or Similar Structured Authoring Tool
• Experience in Windchill / Teamcenter or Similar Content Management System
• Experience in Creo / Adobe Illustrator or Similar Illustration Tool
• Should have Good experience in Illustrated Parts Catalog
• Rich Experience in Electrical Technical Literature (Wiring diagrams, Control Systems, etc…)
