The ideal candidate will have experience in writing a Grant proposal and IP drafting. Responsibilities • Conduct research on potential funding sources and draft compelling grant proposals that align with our organization's mission, goals, and values • Collaborate with program managers, finance staff, and researchers to gather the necessary information to support the development of high-quality grant proposals. • Ensure that grant proposals are submitted accurately, on-time, and in compliance with the guidelines set by funders. • Manage and maintain a grant proposal calendar to track submission deadlines, funder requirements, and outcomes. • Draft and submit patent applications, trademark applications, and copyright registration documents. • Analyze and evaluate the technical aspects of inventions to determine the patentability of the invention. • Help inventors identify key features of the invention that should be protected. • Negotiate and draft IP licensing agreements. • Manage and maintain a grant proposal calendar to track submission deadlines, funder requirements, and outcomes. • Work with other legal teams within the organization to ensure consistency in IP strategies. Qualifications • Strong research and analytical skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Knowledge of IP laws, regulations, and procedures. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Proficient in patent drafting software. • Collaborate with the team and must have excellent organizational skills and be able to produce a quality work product within tight time constraints
