Job Description
Reporting directly to the Manager of Technical Documentation, you will be responsible for creating and writing various types of user documentation, including how-to guides, manuals, references, or instructions.
Your responsibilities will be to:
· Creating instruction and assembly manuals for consumer goods in German and/or English in accordance with all relevant product standards and regulations.
· Preparing instruction manuals for translation process.
· Typesetting of foreign-language instruction manuals.
· Communication and active follow-up with clients.
· Close cooperation with colleagues from the fields of proofreading, graphics and translation management.
· Propose creative solutions to improve translation processes and automation when possible.
Your profile
· University degree in Technical Communication, Technical Translation or related fields or work experience as Technical Writer.
· Profound knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and Acrobat.
· Exemplary attention to details and time management skills.
· Logical thinking and analytical mind is must.
· Can work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
· Strong team player as well as excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
· Immediate availability is preferred.
· Work experience of at least 2 years in the field of technical documentation preferred.
· Fluent in written and spoken German & English
