Technical Writer
Summary and Role Information
We are seeking a User Assistance Developer (technical writer) to join our software development unit in Bangalore. You will be responsible for developing user assistance content, in English, which is primarily used by consultants to implement the software. For this, you will work closely with our software developers and solution management experts. After you have gained experience, we will encourage you to take on more responsibility and branch out into other projects relating to user assistance. As a UA developer, you would be also expected to create vidoes, web content such as blogs and similar UA assets.
• Planning, researching, and creating user assistance products which include documentation (such as context-sensitive help, user guides), videos and UA assets required by SAP's customers.
• Editing user interface texts to ensure usability and that the texts conform to SAP's standards
• Researching and defining terminology
Experience/Role Requirements
• 4 -8 years' experience in technical writing and in developing other user assistance products for the software industry with B.Tech/B.E
• University degree, preferably in Technical Writing, IT, Business Studies or English
• Ability to convey technical information in a clear and precise manner. Experience in developing technical videos will be an advantage.
• Ability to work independently, and with strong communication skills
