Degreed is seeking a Technical Writer to join our dynamic team. As a Technical Writer at Degreed, you will play a crucial role in creating clear, concise, and user-friendly externally-facing documentation. You will work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure our technical content meets the highest standards of quality and accuracy. This role will be based onsite in Bengaluru, India. After an in-office onboarding period, incumbents are expected to be available in office for a few days per week as part of hybrid work model. Candidates may also be required to travel internationally 1-2 times annually for full company gatherings.
Key Skills
• 5-7 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in the software or e-learning industry.
• Proven track record of working with US-based and multinational companies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Experience with documentation tools (Zendesk preferred) and content management systems.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and Markdown.
• Experience with agile development methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including end-user guides and feature-specific how-to manuals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, understand, and document complex technical information.
• Translate technical concepts into clear, concise, and engaging content for various audiences.
• Create and update content for our Knowledge Center.
• Deliver documentation in support of our bi-weekly and quarterly product development cycles.
• Implement and maintain documentation standards and best practices.
• Contribute to the development of our content strategy and information architecture.
