Your mission
Crafting user-friendly documentation that transforms complex technical concepts into easily understandable language for end-users, ensuring high quality and clarity.
We are seeking an experienced technical writer to produce clear and organized content that highlights our technological innovations and solutions. Your role will involve effectively communicating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to make the most of our products and services. By joining our team, you will play a crucial part in delivering exceptional documentation that fosters understanding and adoption of our cutting-edge technologies.
As a member of the Acoem team, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining well-written product documentation that caters to both technical and non-technical audiences. You will gather information from various technical sources, including written and verbal communication, to ensure accurate and comprehensive content. Developing a deep understanding of our product will be essential, and you will closely collaborate with the product development team to grasp its intricacies and align with customers’ objectives.
Your passion to mastering the product’s functionality will be crucial, as you will learn about every feature from its inception to release and customer implementation. This comprehensive knowledge will enable you to create informative and user-friendly documentation that supports our customers throughout their journey.
Objectives of this role
• Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards
• Gain deep understanding of products and services, and translate complex information into simple, polished, engaging content
• Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of target audience, turning insights into language for user success
• Develop and maintain detailed database of reference materials, including research, usability tests, and design specifications
• Evaluate current content and develop innovative methods for improvement
Responsibilities
• Research, outline, write, and edit content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements
• Gather information from subject-matter experts and develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation
• Work with development and support leads to identify documentation repositories, revise and edit, and determine best solutions for data compilation and centralized storage
• Research, create, and maintain information architecture templates that adhere to organizational and legal standards and allow for easy data migration
• Develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with consistent voice across all documentation
Required skills
• Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter
• Experience in writing documentation and procedure manuals for various audiences
• Experience in working with engineers, refine content, and collaborate for technical support content
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Desired qualifications and experience
• Minimum 4 to 8 years of experience in Technical/Content writing
• Diploma or degree preferably in Mechanical or equivalent engineering
• Explains and demonstrates concepts and advanced technologies in an understandable way
• Flair for structuring technical documentation
• Fast learner, systematic, analytical, and curious on software and usability
• Work systematically and independently with a team focus
• Excellent written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
• Experience in working with engineers, refine content, and collaborate with multi location teams
• Comfortable to work in a multicultural environment
• Good working knowledge of MS Office or Google Docs
• Detail-oriented.
