Role: Technical Writer-Networking Team: iX (Information Experience)

The Information Experience (iX) team develops and delivers the content our customers need to install, manage, and configure Juniper’s products and solutions. Juniper Networks is all about powering connections and empowering change. In the iX team we strive for that daily by:

About the Position:
The Information Experience team in Bangalore is looking for an experienced technical writer to create customer-focused product documentation, including comprehensive concepts, examples, tasks, and reference information for Juniper’s routing, switching, and security products. The role requires strong technical skills and an ability to translate complex technologies into easy-to-use content for our customers.
Responsibilities:
• Work with a team of writers and editors based in Bangalore and Sunnyvale, CA, USA, to research, write, and produce high-quality, topic-based documentation for Juniper Networks hardware platforms.
• Produce a range of deliverables, from short feature descriptions and configuration examples to full user guides.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand and identify requirements and customer needs.
• Analyze specifications and product descriptions and recommend the best documentation approach.
• Translate engineering documents into prescriptive content that enables customers to implement the usage scenarios in their own networks.
• Follow established style and process guidelines to provide consistency and completeness.
Minimum Qualifications:
• BA/BS in Communication, Journalism, English, Computer Science, or related degree, or comparable experience.
• Minimum 6+ years experience writing product documentation, preferably for enterprise/service provider networking products.
• Excellent writing, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality, rich technical content that presents information in easy-to-understand plain language.
• Ability to research complex technical concepts (independently and collaboratively) and develop effective deliverables to serve customer needs.
• Strong problem-solving skills; ability to make progress with less-than-complete information.
• Experience with DITA, XML authoring tools, and content management systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Technical certifications in networking, such as JNCIA or CCNA
