We are looking for a technical communicator who can create content for educating users on our products through various mediums - documentation, videos, and in-product help.
Responsibilities:
· Work with product managers, product marketing, and software engineers to produce and maintain world-class documentation, including: User Manuals/Guides, Integration Guides, Technical Processes, etc.
· Provide UI text, labels, and error messages in close collaboration with UI developers
· Gather and analyze technical and product information from various sources to document new or changing product functionality.
· Create in-depth user guides, FAQs, technical overviews, and in-product help documentation.
· Publish and maintain templates ensuring a consistent look and feel.
· Publish Release Notes to a broad group of internal and external users, and prospects.
· Develop content for various platforms that can be repurposed for newsletters, decks, whitepapers, and web copy.
· Maintain consistent tone across all platforms and media.
· Adhere to strict review and editing guidelines.
· Organizing documentation and making it easily discoverable
· Proactively identify gaps in the documentation and knowledge base articles
Requirements:
· You love writing, enjoy the challenge of understanding a product, and can champion the task of evangelizing the product to improve adoption.
· 5-7 years industry experience as an effective technical writer.
· Ability to understand user intent and needs.
· Ability to communicate in simple yet effective conversational language.
· Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics like payroll.
· Previous experience writing for multiple audiences.
· Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
