CSSD Instrument Technician

Your Role
As a CSSD Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for:
Ensuring sterilizing practice standards AS/NZ 4187 (2003) and infection control are adhered to at all times
Performing duties in all work areas of the department (decontamination, packing, sterilisation, and loan instruments)
Testing machinery (washers, sterilisers etc.)
Ability to plan, manage resources, and understand the importance of prioritised equipment
Informing the CSSD Manager/Floor Co-ordinator of any deviation from normal
Essential Criteria
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Grade 2 experience or higher
Certificate IV in Sterilising Services or working towards this certificate
Committed to maintaining currency in practical skills and knowledge
Excellent customer service skills
Able to work well in a team as well as independently
Able to prioritize, plan, and take the initiative to respond to changes
