The Opportunity
Veolia ANZ is seeking an experienced Plant Operator / Technician to join our team in Fairfield 2165. This role will ensure the effective and optimal operation and maintenance of our Recycled Water Treatment Scheme. The primary objectives are to meet all required quality, reliability and safety targets.

What you'll be responsible for
Troubleshoot problems with plant equipment and processes, undertake corrective actions and first-line maintenance
Conduct routine, corrective and breakdown maintenance repairs as well as installations and upgrades on plant assets
Perform technician duties to meet contractual obligations for the Recycled Water Treatment Scheme and minimise health & safety, environmental and equipment impacts
Ensure safe and reliable operation of the treatment plant within set parameters to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs)
Maintain good housekeeping standards and overall tidy plant appearance
Induct, liaise with, and supervise contractors for maintenance and project activities on site
Report on OHS, security, environmental, process, equipment, and quality issues
Attend toolbox/production meetings, conduct risk assessments, follow work instructions/permits
Perform routine area checks, monitor SCADA data/security screens, and report breaches
Undertake sampling, on-site testing and laboratory analysis as required
Raise purchase requisitions for services, chemicals and materials
Participate in an on call roster to cover plant operations.

Electrical trade qualification
Water operations experience preferred
Electrical and general maintenance experience
