General Summary:
A Technician, RF shall provide a multiple variety of technical support tasks using basic engineering/electronics/mechanical principles and techniques to tackle mildly complex problems. This resource will also assist in the RF tuning, development, construction, and testing of, but not limited to, base station antennas and processes.
How You'll Help Us Connect the World:
Work under minimal supervision and guidance of engineering staff, responsible for the operation of engineering test equipment in a laboratory setting.
Report model testing status and results to departmental Supervisor/Manager and Engineers as appropriate.
Assist in the documentation of manufacturing methods and procedures. Material handling e.g. shipping and receiving. Assists in model fabrication, assembly, theoretical tuning, and design development. Modify antenna prototypes, parts, and assemblies correct functional deviations.
Operate fabricating equipment including but not limited to PCB milling machine, hand soldering tools, drill press, and related hand tools.
Assists in the maintenance of far field, near field and Lab equipment.
Performs routine RF measurements of antenna design parameters.
Operate Test equipment including but not limited to power meters, network analyzers, PIM analyzers, and, antenna range software, (far field and near field).
Trouble shoot and repair problems in completed assemblies, modify if vital. Will trouble shoot an electronic problem area to determine cause and remedy the problem. Able to document work instructions and simple test reports
A Technician, RF should be knowledgeable in the use of a PC, HP Analyzers, Test Range measurement hardware (e.g. positioner, winch), and company vehicles. Software applications used in antenna design and engineering and all types of test equipment commonly used in RF design, manufacturing, assembly, and testing
Role will involve working in rotational shifts.
Required Qualifications for Consideration:
Diploma qualification with preferably 4 years of related experience or BE with preferably 2 years of related experience.
You Will Excite Us If You Have:
Should have soldering skills, being able to find out between a good and bad solder joints also should have assembly experience.
Good to have exposure in continuous improvement projects and 6 sigma
Understands TD, Port Extensions, Smith Chart, RL, ISO, PIM
Experience in RF test instruments like Network Analysers and Spectrum Analysers
Can operate two or more Test Range types and troubleshoot at least one
Able to troubleshoot circuits and read schematics, without supervision.
Works well as an equal in a technician team and demonstrates team leadership skills
Able to document work instructions and sample test reports
Debugging and repair of Networking products/Washing Machines/Medical equipment’s.
Production failure repair and basic repair experience in Factory preferred.
