For a Technician in Media Technology Volume of employment: 50% (20h / week) Pay according to local pay scheme of Goethe-Institut India.
We are looking for a committed colleague, initially till 31.12.2020, subsequently to be made permanent, starting ideally from 01.05.2026.
Job Description:
Providing hands on technical support for all events (sound, light, digital projection, props, etc.), Maintenance of smart boards, Maintenance of all technical equipment incl.
cooling systems and technical installations on a regular basis, Providing support in liaison with firms in the maintenance of services and equipment eg.
telephone, photocopy machine, metal detector, etc., Providing support in acquiring new technical equipment, Execution of other related duties.
Requirements:
Fluency in spoken English, Bengali and Hindi (working knowledge of German is desirable), Ability to undertake minor repairs of equipment, Good communication skills and ability for team work., Ability to prioritize delegated work, Ability to keep routine records and make reports, Time Management and workload planning skills, Flexibility and readiness to work at odd hours and under pressure, Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Willingness to learn and undergo on-the-job training
