Job Overview
Western Digital's seeking very Creative Technician/ Test Engineer to join our Product Design Engineering team at Bangalore, India Location. Technician will be involved in testing of storage devices with various size and designs.
Job Responsibilities :
• In this role at Western Digital's India, Bangalore, you will be responsible for:
• Perform Thermal Validation of storage device with various size and capacity
• Prepare thermal test-up for future generation storage device testing
• Report observed issue during validation and work with design team to identify cause for the issues and resolve same issue
• Maintain lab inventory updated
• Collaborate with Cross Functional teams (Hardware, Electrical, Firmware and Design team)
Qualifications
• • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• • 5+ years of Relevant experience
• • Basic understanding of mechanical/thermal aspects of electronic devices, thermal interface materials, heat-sinks, heat-spreaders, and PCBs
• • Basic python script knowledge is preferred
• • Work experience with thermocouple and IR camera is required
Soft Skills
• • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills as you will be working with cross functional teams
• • Must possess strong problem-solving skills
• • Operate autonomously with minimum direction
• • Must be a self-learner with the ability to update new technology concepts quickly
