Position: Technician/ Assembler
Position Title: Night shift Maintenance Technician
Duration: 3 months Contract To Hire
Location: Palo Alto / Hanover Location (Onsite)

Mission:
• This person will be ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and reliability of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems within industrial, commercial, and R&D environments.
• This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and optimizing a wide range of facility equipment, including HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, air handling units, VAV systems, hydronic systems, air compressors, and exhaust ventilation systems.
Day to day:
• Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate, diagnose, analyze, and repair various types of equipment, such as HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, air handling units, VAV systems, hydronic systems, air compressors, air dryers, and exhaust ventilation.
• Preventative Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on mechanical, control, and operating systems.
• Ensure all equipment is calibrated and functioning correctly.
• Installation and Repair: Install or repair ductwork, piping, air conditioning units, and exhaust equipment.
• Perform tasks such as brazing, soldering, and welding.
• Building Management Systems (BMS): Experience with BMS and familiarity with systems like Automated Logic, Siemens, and Ignition.
• Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of all mechanical and electrical equipment and systems.
• Identify potential issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Sub-contractor Supervision: Monitor and supervise sub-contractors performing maintenance and repair work.
• General Maintenance: Contribute to day-to-day operations, including tasks that may fall outside of the technician's primary skill set, such as restroom repair.
• Be flexible and willing to receive training for unfamiliar work areas.
Must Haves:
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in general maintenance or a related field within industrial/commercial and/or lab/R&D environments.
• Education: Associate degree or Trade School preferred.
• Technical Skills: Demonstrated technical ability in the installation, repair, and maintenance of industrial systems.Familiarity with HVAC and electrical codes.
• Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) like Automated Logic, Siemens, and Ignition.
• Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Regulatory Compliance: Compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
• Personal Attributes: Self-directed with the ability to be resourceful, plan, and organize work efficiently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Professional demeanor with outstanding customer focus, Team player.
Pluses:
• Capable of brazing, soldering, and welding.
• Ability to perform a variety of maintenance tasks beyond primary responsibilities.
