Job Description
Role Overview
As a Technology Architect within our Engineering Services line, you will be the primary authority for the architecture and delivery of complex embedded systems and medical devices. This leadership role requires a rare blend of deep technical hardware expertise and a rigorous understanding of safety and regulatory standards. You will be responsible for defining system-level architecture, performing critical hardware-software partitioning, and leading the hardware development lifecycle from initial schematic design to full-scale manufacturing readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Architectural Design & Strategic Leadership
• System Architecture: Define and architect robust embedded systems and medical devices, ensuring strict compliance with global safety and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 13485, IEC 60601).
• HW/SW Partitioning: Evaluate design alternatives and perform optimal hardware-software partitioning to maximize system performance and reliability.
• Technical Mentorship: Provide high-level guidance to engineering teams, fostering technical excellence and mentorship on emerging embedded technologies and IoT connectivity.
Hardware Engineering & PCB Excellence
• Lifecycle Management: Lead the complete hardware development lifecycle, including design, prototyping, validation, and manufacturing hand-off.
• Schematic & Layout Review: Drive the review of complex schematics and multilayer PCB layouts, ensuring design integrity and adherence to validation strategies.
• Manufacturing Readiness: Oversee DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFT (Design for Test) processes to ensure seamless transitions from prototype to production.
Validation & Compliance
• Regulatory Compliance: Navigate the complex landscape of medical device certifications and regulatory documentation.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the technical bridge between vendors, customers, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure project alignment and quality delivery.
Technical & Professional Requirements
• Experience: 9+ years of dedicated experience in electronics design and embedded system development.
• Hardware Mastery:
• Hands-on expertise in high-speed multilayer PCB design, board bring-up, and hardware validation.
• Advanced proficiency in EDA tools, specifically Cadence Allegro PCB Editor.
• Mastery of Signal Integrity (SI), controlled impedance design, and EMI/EMC mitigation strategies.
• Interface & Wireless Knowledge:
• Design experience with high-speed interfaces: DDR3/LPDDR3, USB 3.0, PCIe, SATA, and HDMI.
• Expertise in wireless integration: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE, and GPS.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (B.E./M.E.), Computer Applications (BCA/MCA), or Science (BSc/MSc).
Preferred Technical Stack
• Embedded Hardware: Multilayer PCB Design & EDA
• IoT & Connectivity: Bluetooth, Wi-Fi Technologies, and LTE
• Compliance: Medical Device Regulatory Standards
