In This Role, You Will
We are looking for Technology Data Engineer for Internal Audit business area. Our business partners require data from various internal systems during their Audit execution. This data may present at different sources and in different format. A Data Engineer is required for designing, building and operating reliable, scalable data pipelines and platforms that deliver trusted data for analytics, reporting and other use cases within Internal Audit.
• It’s an Individual Contributor role and requires collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Design, develop and maintain ETL pipelines and data ingestion from various sources like data lakes, files, databases etc..
• Build and optimise data models, schemas and data lakes/warehouses for analytics and machine‑learning needs.
• Implement batch and real‑time processing with strong focus on performance and cost.
• Own CI/CD, infrastructure as code and automated deployments for data services.
• Implement data quality, lineage, observability, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with Business partners, architects, Business SMEs/analysts, source systems teams to translate requirements into production data solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform capacity planning, and ensure security & compliance controls are met.
• Produce technical documentation and run knowledge‑transfer sessions.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
10+ years of experience as a Technology Data Engineer.
Must have
• 10+ years’ experience in Technology with exposure to various databases.
• Strong SQL expertise and experience with relational and columnar stores like Postgres, Oracle, MS SQL
• Proficient in Python or Java or C# for data processing and scripting.
• Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, Azure Data Factory).
• Knowledge of data modeling tool like Visual Paradigm
• Strong debugging, performance tuning and automation skills.
• Good stakeholder communication and documentation skills.
Nice‑to‑have
• Cloud exposure (AWS and or Azure) — compute, storage, IAM and cost control.
• Exposure to Cloud native databases likes Redshift, BigQuery, Azure MS SQL
• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake or similar managed data platforms.
• Security/compliance experience (encryption, IAM, GDPR).
