This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or Client office at a minimum 2 days per week - subject to change at any time.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Defines and implements the product development for Online and banking teams
Innovates to develop new products and enhancements to existing ones to improve the customer experience.
Collaborates with internal partners across the organization to take products to market, and manages all risks associated with products to ensure compliance, including risk reporting.
Makes recommendations to senior leaders on strategy and new initiatives, based on an in-depth understanding of the business/group.
Acts as a subject matter expert on relevant regulations and policies.
Manages resources and leads the execution of strategic initiatives to deliver on business and financial goals.
Acts as the prime subject matter expert for internal/external stakeholders.
Leads change management programs of varying scope and type, including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, execution, evaluation and sustainment of initiatives.
Review the solution architecture and provide guidance to the technology teams.
Drives the business case and strategic roadmap for products and services, including accountability for project and budget approval.
Optimizes the financial performance and customer value of the product portfolio.
Continuously improves processes to identify issues and deliver optimal customer experience.
Develops and maintains relationships with external partners and vendors.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Experience in leading technology teams with varied technology platforms
Experience in software integration using SOAP, REST web services, Experience in Full Stack Technologies (Angular, Java, AWS Lambdas, Node.js)
Experience in database technologies such as Oracle and SQL Server is an asset
Demonstrates expert knowledge of design and analysis methodology and application development processes
Exhibits expert understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) (including emerging trends in DevOps and Agile), Quality Assurance requirements, and software development control and release procedures
Demonstrates expert understanding of relevant and emerging technologies and industry directions
Experienced in or strong working knowledge of credit card systems is an asset
Possesses solid analytical skills for complex problem solving. Is able to manage multiple priorities
Demonstrates relationship management skills
Possesses several years of proven success as a technical team leader
Ability to adapt and quickly develop in-depth technical understanding of new/different applications and technology platforms
Demonstrates solid organizational skills
Experience in working effectively with different technology and business teams
Exhibits solid communication skills, both written and verbal
Possesses expert understanding of relevant technologies
Demonstrates solid leadership skills with a solid background in applications development.
