Process Overview
The Markets Application Production Services (MAPS) group is a global group responsible for the management of production systems across Global Markets Technology. The group works closely with the business and provides application support. The group closely interacts with the development and infrastructure teams to manage all changes to the production environment. MAPS has a strong focus on operational excellence and process improvement.
Job Description
The individual will be part of MAPS ECS team as L2 Production support team member and will be responsible to provide technical and business support for the suite of ELT applications. Equity Linked Technology provides derivatives business support to Equity Client Solutions (ECS), Equities synthetics and stock lending(ESSL) for Delta1 trading business. It consists of suite of applications catering to various functionalities from Pre-trade analytics, Order and Position Management, Trading, Risk analysis & Lifecycle Management, Market Making and Profit & Loss valuation for various derivatives asset classes ranging from plain vanilla futures, options, forwards, ETF, Structured products, Swaps and to the most complex exotics products
Responsibilities
• Handle requests and issues raised by the business users and other stake-holders within stipulated SLA
• Handle Incidents/Issues Identified through monitoring tools, email in a timely fashion.
• Follow the Incident, Problem and Change management procedures and other policies
• Monitor and troubleshoot the job failures and do deep dive analysis
• Identify improvement opportunities - and driving the same to closure
• Coordinate with Global MAPS, Business users, Development, L1 & Infrastructure teams
• Adhere to bank of America policies, code of ethics and deliver services in accordance with bank policies at all times – while delivering production support services
• Support any weekend tasks if required by business
Requirements
Education: B.E. / B. Tech/M.E. /M. Tech/M.Sc./MCA (prefer IT/CS specialization)
Certifications, If Any: ITIL Foundation
Experience Range: 7-12 years
Foundational skills:
• Strong in UNIX/LINUX, Shell Scripting, Python, SQL and Oracle
• Strong knowledge in ITRS, Autosys
• 7-12 years of Production support experience.
• Well versed in ITIL
