About the Department

The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services.

The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.

About the Division

The Senior Secondary Pathways Reform Taskforce (SSPRT) is delivering major reform to senior secondary students in all Victorian Government Schools. As part of this reform, the department is investing heavily in technology to support students and staff and reduce administrative burden in schools. SSPRT is committed to ensuring school and regional staff have both the tools and skills to deliver the reform.

About the Role

The Department is seeking a Program Communications Lead to support the implementation of technology-enabled reforms in Victorian government schools. This is an exciting opportunity to lead communications planning and content preparation, working closely with the change management and program areas and support adoption strategies to ensure the successful rollout of new platform applications as part of the Senior Secondary Pathways Reform Taskforce. This is a role for an experienced change professional with excellent written communication skills, a structured approach to planning and content preparation and a commitment to supporting schools through technology-enabled transformation. Join a dynamic, reform-focused environment and help shape the future of senior secondary education in Victoria.

Attributes

The role requires a breadth of skills, particularly in written communication, strategic thinking and stakeholder engagement to support the implementation of the Student Pathways Platform and the strategic vision for senior secondary reform. This role works as part of a team that delivers both the technical solution and change management and is focused on end user adoption and outcomes. The ability to clearly communicate, engage, and build trust with a wide range of stakeholders is essential to support delivery and enable a smooth transition to new processes in schools.
