Your key responsibilities
• Provide Agile coaching & leadership to all technical and non-technical team members across the entire programme delivery lifecycle
• Own, lead and motivate your Scrum team
• Define and implement an Agile governance model, test processes and procedures to execute & continuously improve delivery
• Execute assurance activities to identify and resolve any issues with the delivery model as early as possible
• Identify, adopt and socialise capabilities of tools to support an Agile approach, improve efficiency, or support testing to reduce the ongoing manual effort required to support future test cycles
• Develop and report against key burndown metrics to measure programme status including test executions, defect identification and defect resolution
• Continuous improvement of the Agile approach, testing tools, methods and effectiveness and efficiency of testing
• Plan and oversee Agile project delivery including the resolution of technical issues & defects
Your skills and experience
Required Skills/Experience
• Ideally experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least one year for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory
• Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
• Assertiveness in order to ensure that Agile/Scrum concepts are adhered to
• Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach(example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs etc)
• Understand the fundamentals, principles and motivations of iterative development
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills
Preferred Skills/Experience
• Experience/Understanding - Good Cloud Platform
• Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
• Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team
• Experience applying a wide variety of well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach(example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs etc)
• Previous experience as a team lead
• Understand other processes and methodologies and can speak intelligently about them and leverage other techniques to provide value to a team/enterprise
• Understand basic fundamentals of software development processes and procedures
