Job Description
DWS is expanding its Chief Architecture Organization and looking to strengthen the team. As an Architect Specialist in the DWS Chief Architect Organization, you will be working with the Head of Information & Data Architecture, Head Business Data Architecture as well as other architecture peers to support driving DWS' (business application) data architecture.
This roles' is to review, improve and deliver architecture that considers data acquisition, data flow in an event driven architecture / environment, data integrity by design, data archival and discovery, data flow monitoring and alerting, data transformation, data ingestion and consumption as well as defining common patterns for any of these to guide engineering teams to deliver against this architecture.
This design work also includes work to support functions such as Data Governance and Data Quality management and how meta information is properly captured and up-to-date within the respective tools (e.g. Data Lineage) in a seamless and mostly automated way.
In close collaboration with the Head of Business Data Architecture you will help provide guidelines and patterns on Data Modelling (3NF, DV 2.0, Snowflake, …) to assist Data Engineers in implementing the proper model for their individual requirements.
As a first engagement, you will be supporting DWS to define an improved Data Architecture in which front-to-back lineage can be achieved and to integrate new Data Governance and Data Quality management tooling.
