Job description, work day and responsibilities
The Tele CollectionExecutive is responsible for proactively contacting delinquentcustomers to collect outstanding payments and negotiate paymentarrangements. They must exhibit excellent communication skills,empathy, and a firm yet respectful approach to ensure debt recoverywhile maintaining customerrelationships.KeyResponsibilities:
Initiateoutbound calls to customers with overdue payments or outstandingdebts.
Use scripted or customized conversationtemplates to engage with customersprofessionally.
Attempt to reach customersthrough various communication channels, including phone calls,emails, and SMS.
Assess customers financialsituations and propose feasible paymentsolutions.
Negotiate repayment plans,settlements, or alternative arrangements to cleardebts.
Provide information on available paymentoptions and guide customers in choosing the most suitableone.
Update customer account information,including contact details and paymenthistory.
Prepare and maintain detailed reportson collections activities.
Maintainprofessionalism and patience when dealing with difficult or iratecustomers.
Build rapport with customers toencourage cooperation and commitment topayment.
Meet or exceed monthly and quarterlycollection targets.
Continuously improvecollection strategies to optimizeresults.
Qualificationsand Skills:
Bachelorsdegree preferred
Previous experience incollections, telecalling, or customer service is anadvantage.
Excellent communication andnegotiation skills.
Strong problemsolvingabilities.
Empathy and patience when dealingwith customers.
Basic computer skills for dataentry and recordkeeping.
Knowledge of debtcollection laws and regulations is aplus.
Persistence and the ability to handlerejection professionally.
Resultsoriented witha focus on meetingtargets.
