About The Role

As a Senior Commercial Banker, you will play a crucial role in driving business success by managing and developing relationships with small to mid-sized businesses that generate less than $25 million in gross sales. This position involves active collaboration with the sales team to foster robust banking relationships, contributing significantly to the growth of the assigned sales territory. You will serve as the primary relationship manager, representing the bank in all client interactions while overseeing the credit process, including underwriting, portfolio management, risk identification, and adherence to loan covenants. Strong individual initiative and effective collaboration are essential for achieving and exceeding business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Consistently achieve and surpass individual and team sales targets, including deposits, loans, and other metrics.
• Expand existing client relationships and identify new business opportunities through referrals and proactive outreach.
• Analyze creditworthiness and conduct financial statement assessments to ensure compliance with bank standards.
• Develop expert-level sales strategies and proposals tailored to client needs.
• Build and maintain a network of referral sources to enhance business development.
• Document the relationship management process effectively.
• Assist clients in problem-solving and propose suitable financial solutions.
• Advocate for clients to secure appropriate credit products and cross-sell additional bank services.
• Structure and finalize both secured and unsecured business loans.
• Evaluate risks related to business, management, and financial conditions, documenting findings comprehensively.
• Lead sales initiatives by generating tailored proposals.
• Foster solid relationships with internal and external partners.
• Maintain expert knowledge of the bank's products and services.
• Contribute to special projects as necessary.
• Engage with community organizations and initiatives.

Qualifications:
• 8-10 years of experience in Commercial Banking is required.
• Strong understanding and experience in credit and lending practices.
• Proven ability to meet sales goals and maximize relationship profitability.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial banking products, including credit analysis and treasury management services.
• Demonstrated financial acumen and exceptional problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills and a results-oriented approach, capable of thriving in high-pressure situations.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to cultivate long-term relationships with various stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Formal credit training preferred.

Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience may be considered.

Weekly Scheduled Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:15am - 5pm

Summary:

Provide quality, accurate and timely customer service involving daily processing of financial transactions in a retail banking environment. Often serving as the first point of contact to the client, may have responsibility for recommending bank products or referring clients to other areas of the Bank. Develop and retain long-term and profitable client relationships to maximize revenue growth. Responsible for maintaining high customer service and procedural standards. Provides fulfillment of retail banking products either through referral-based leads, prospecting lists or self-sourcing. Monitors and maintains control of cash.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Operational efficiency
• Handle a cash drawer; ensuring proper control of cash drawer; follow all audit and security policies and procedures.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers and loan payment transactions for customers.
• Process miscellaneous transactions (bonds, municipal coupons, money orders, etc.).
• Assist in daily balancing and processing of ATM(s), including the processing of all entries.
• Assist in the verification of deposits in the night and lobby depository.
• Assist with the dual control vault
