Job Description
Tri-Township Schools is seeking a qualified and student-centered English Language Arts (ELA) teacher for grades 6–9 to serve as a temporary leave replacement beginning in late February. The anticipated length of the assignment is approximately 4–10 weeks, depending on the duration of the leave.
The selected candidate will provide continuity of instruction, maintain classroom expectations, and collaborate with colleagues to support student learning during the teacher’s absence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Deliver ELA instruction aligned to Indiana Academic Standards and district curriculum
Plan and implement engaging lessons for students in grades 6–9
Assess student learning and provide timely feedback
Maintain a positive, structured, and respectful classroom environment
Communicate professionally with administration, support staff, and families as needed
Follow school policies, procedures, and schedules
Qualifications
Valid Indiana teaching license in ELA preferred
Candidates eligible for a long-term substitute assignment may be considered
Experience teaching middle school and/or early high school ELA preferred
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
