The Role Responsibilities
We are seeking an energetic, talented and motivated individual for the role of QA Manager on an ongoing Front office Green field project. The job entails testing of a Front Office trading application using the modern technology stack and integrating it with the CI/CD pipeline to enable continuous testing.
• Lead and own testing process & delivery for defined application stream.
• Develop automation test strategy, test scripts using inhouse automated testing tools
• Engage with stakeholders viz., Project Managers, Dev Managers, Test Assurance team, Support teams etc.
• Assess impact of changes, build functional test strategy and plan
• Build the functional test plan and strategy for a high volume and low latency application.
• Work closely with the application development and dev-ops to improve performance, scalability and resiliency of the system.
• Development of common tools and utilities in Java to capture more detailed metrics from the system logs.
Our Ideal Candidate
Primary Skills
• 8 plus years of experience in designing, developing and executing the functional & automated testing scripts for a large scale, high volume, low latency enterprise applications.
• Solid understanding of backend and front-end automated testing and related tooling stack
• Strong understanding of programming concepts in Java
• Strong understanding in Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and related tooling like Cucumber, Gherkin, Selenium
• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines, continuous integration and performance testing
• Good understanding on basic Unix commands
• Good understanding of Rest APIs and WebSocket based communication.
• Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of QA and testing standards, methodologies, tools and processes
• Candidate should have ability to learn new techniques and technologies quickly.
• Analytical Skill: Candidate should be posses' good analytical skills.
Secondary Skills
• Experience working with Banking Front Office applications.
• Good understanding of asynchronous messaging systems like kafka, solace, MQ or similar.
• Knowledge of QA and testing standards, methodologies, tools and processes
• Ability to succeed in high energy, dynamic environment.
• Self-driven, good communication skills
