Test Engineer

THE ROLE

We are on an ambitious journey to rejuvenate our Payments Offerings andthe applicable Test Engineer will play a key role in writing Testing,Scripting, and Automation in Payments team.
We are looking for a candidate who sees the bigger picture, can act as anexpert counsel to align ideas on key strategic themes as well as coaching,mentoring and guiding other stakeholders within the development/testingprocess. The candidate will be self-starting and inquisitive; comfortableworking in a complex environment and posses excellent communications skills.
Candidates must have banking experience Core banking Payment Testingunderstand the needs from a bank user's point of view and be comfortableworking with all stakeholder levels within the team(One Engineering Team).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Participate in Scrum calls, Scrum Retrospection (e.g. development, testing, automation, workarounds or changes in processes). Ensure any deliverables are tested properly with right quality.
• Analyse client business requirements, liaise with client(s)/project team(s) and produce Test Plan document for addressing the requirements.
• Be involved actively in the process till the development promotes in UTP.
• Participate in Solution design with development to ensure the requirements are covered in Test Pan.
• Ensure Requirement Traceability Matrix is updated to facilitate tracking of requirements coverage
• Act in a one engineering model; configuring and managing workshops and, where appropriate, acting in a product owner capacity.
• Lead and give guidance to help key stakeholder's understand the impacts of changes through extensive and co-ordinated discovery analysis.
• Derive and define high level Test Plans, map out appropriate epics and user stories to support delivery whilst applying a customer focused approach to the process.
• Support creation of test planning and scripts, whilst also owning User Acceptance Testing as and when deliveries occur.
• Identify new opportunities to acquire, retain or grow the business based on trends found through market analysis and strong awareness of new features and capabilities within the field.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• 3+ years of experience on Core banking Payment Testing (File and online transactions).
• Understand Payments domain and has experience of working on SEPA and SWIFT messaging standards across Europe and Asia regions
• Deep understanding of the servicing requirements within the Payments module.
• Demonstrable experience of creating innovative solutions and efficiencies.
• Understanding of the typical infrastructure within a servicing solution.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, with others and external parties.
• Ability to present confidently at a senior level
• Strong knowledge of payments and global transaction banking businesses would be advantageous.
• Experience in any automation tools like Selenium, Cucumber etc.
• Experience Agile methodologies.
• Creation of Test cases Endto end testing
